Description
• Reddit is a community of communities, home to open conversations on the internet. • The Storage Infra team seeks a Senior Staff software Engineer to solve large-scale storage infrastructure problems. • Maintain high availability and reliability to enhance user experience. • Develop long-term technical strategy and refine data storage infrastructure for millions of users. • Mentor engineers on design and operation of services used across Reddit.
Requirements
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience that includes both setting and delivering on long-term vision. • 10+ years of coding experience in a production setting writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders in engineering, data science, machine learning, and product. • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Go, C++ or Java. • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field. • Experience working closely with Storage technologies like Postgres, Mysql, Cassandra, Redis, Memcache is a huge plus!
