Description

β€’ Lead and mentor a team of engineers across DevOps, SecOps, and SRE functions, providing guidance on best practices and personal development. β€’ Serve as a technical leader, driving architectural decisions, fostering a culture of security, reliability, and automation. β€’ Act as a key collaborator between development, security, and operations teams, breaking down silos and ensuring seamless communication. β€’ Lead by example, working closely with team members on hands-on projects while encouraging skill growth and knowledge sharing. β€’ Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes. (Jenkins) β€’ Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. β€’ Collaborate with developers to create scalable and reliable environments in cloud and on-premises infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure). β€’ Monitor performance metrics, optimize resource usage, and enhance system uptime. (Grafana) β€’ Embed security practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring compliance with security policies throughout the development lifecycle. β€’ Implement and monitor security best practices such as identity management, network security, and data protection, e.g., SOC2 Compliance. β€’ Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and manage patching processes. (Nessus) β€’ Respond to security incidents and conduct post-mortem investigations to prevent future incidents. β€’ Design and implement scalable systems to ensure the reliability and performance of production environments. β€’ Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues proactively. β€’ Develop playbooks and automation scripts to reduce manual intervention in incident response. β€’ Lead post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement based on the learnings.

Requirements

β€’ 5+ years in a DevOps, SecOps, or SRE role, with leadership experience or a proven track record of mentorship in technical teams. β€’ Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). β€’ Expertise in both implementing and coaching on security best practices (e.g., IAM, firewalls, vulnerability management). β€’ Solid background in monitoring, alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk), and incident management. β€’ Strong background in Linux/Unix systems and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go) for automating processes. β€’ Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading technical teams in a player/coach capacity, balancing leadership with hands-on contributions. β€’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to guide both junior and senior engineers. β€’ Ability to drive collaboration across development, security, and operations teams. β€’ Certifications (Preferred but not Required): AWS/GCP/Azure Certified DevOps Engineer β€’ Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) β€’ Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) β€’ Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer
