Description

• The purpose of this consultancy is to ensure consistent safety and security standards for Refugees International staff. • Advise on security challenges and propose risk reduction measures. • Develop security protocols and operating procedures for medium to high-risk environments. • Analyze field environments and assist in risk assessments for staff travel. • Consult with staff on travel planning and establish risk mitigation measures. • Contribute to the development of safety and security culture within the organization. • Perform regular reviews and updates of safety and security procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as a team player. • Familiarity with humanitarian crisis environments and the particular security risks of crisis settings; familiarity with humanitarian safety and security practices. • Well-developed written and oral communication skills. • Able to communicate clearly and sensitively. • Works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to RI’s core values and humanitarian principles. • Ability to operate effectively under stressful circumstances and in a flexible, adaptable and resilient manner. • Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity. • Experience in developing security related technical tools guidelines and systems. • Experience in professional security related fields. • Strong security assessment and planning skills.
