Description

• Ensure that Refugees International staff work in accordance with safety and security standards. • Develop security protocols, travel plans, and mitigation measures. • Advise on security challenges and propose risk reduction measures. • Analyze field environments and collect necessary data for risk assessments. • Review and update safety and security management plans and protocols. • Provide training on safety and security protocols to staff.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as a team player. • Familiarity with humanitarian crisis environments and the particular security risks of crisis settings; familiarity with humanitarian safety and security practices. • Well-developed written and oral communication skills. • Able to communicate clearly and sensitively. • Works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to RI’s core values and humanitarian principles. • Ability to operate effectively under stressful circumstances and in a flexible, adaptable and resilient manner. • Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity. • Experience in developing security related technical tools guidelines and systems. • Experience in professional security related fields. • Strong security assessment and planning skills.
