Description

• The Software Engineering group leads the development of internal applications related to consumer finance • Technologists with a new perspective passionate about solving business, data, and technical challenges • Build next-generation applications for n-tier cloud architectures • Redefine the way operations teams serve clients • Partner with product management team and internal clients to understand business inquiries • Drive requirements, propose solutions and deliver multiple cross-functional projects and integrations • Build and institutionalize a best-in-class ecosystem on-premises or in the public cloud • Mentor engineers and work hands-on to solve sophisticated problems

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • 10+ years of Software Engineering experience developing & managing Web applications • Lead a team of 8-12 engineers in the development of a tier 1 application • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and certification • Strong sense of ownership of the development process and the will to drive the team toward constant code, application, and process improvements • Responsible for the entire software development lifecycle • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business and technical teams • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and social skills • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy • Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment
