📋 Description

• Responsible for delivering great code and pushing forward our software. • Supervise and mentor a team of 2 Data Engineers and 1 Cloud Engineer. • Drive the development and optimization of data pipelines, architectures, and ETL/ELT processes. • Own and guide the migration from unstructured data environments to a new data model. • Ensure seamless integration of data across various teams. • Evaluate and recommend the best data technologies for the job. • Act as the primary interface between the data engineering team and business stakeholders. • Uphold high standards for data quality, security, and performance. • Optimize data architectures and queries for efficiency. • Collaborate with and mentor teammates to enhance their skills.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as the senior or lead engineer on a data engineering team, with exceptional skills in designing data pipelines and building cloud-based architectures. • Strong background in implementing data warehouses and data lakes, with the insight to choose the right approach for a given scenario. • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS data services (Redshift, Glue, Lambda, S3, etc.). • Open mindset towards incorporating the best non-AWS technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Spark, etc.) when appropriate. • Expertise in SQL databases, Python programming, and distributed computing frameworks (e.g. Spark or Hadoop). • Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of taking ownership in fast-paced, evolving environments. • Strong leadership, communication, and people skills. • Experience mentoring engineers and elevating the technical bar for a team. • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders who may have shifting or not-yet-defined needs.
