📋 Description

• CPA Firm is seeking a Tax Director to lead a high-performing tax team. • Ensure effective implementation of tax strategies for high-net-worth individuals and businesses. • Hire, train, lead, coach, and hold the tax team accountable. • Mentor junior staff to ensure they grow their skills and career. • Provide ongoing training and development for new and existing employees. • Offer real-time feedback and conduct weekly 1:1s with team members. • Foster a high-performance culture. • Assign projects and ensure deadlines are met. • Conduct performance reviews and address conflicts as needed. • Lead client kick-off meetings to establish strong relationships. • Ensure timely communication with clients throughout the tax cycle. • Oversee tax return preparation and compliance.

🎯 Requirements

• 8 years of Tax experience required with proven work experience as a Tax Senior/Tax Associate • 3 years of Accounting Experience Required • 2+ years leading a team of remote employees • CPA firm experience a must. • Accounting and payroll knowledge • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws. • Must be a licensed EA, or CPA • Proficient in Accounting Software (such as QBO, QBD) and Ultra Tax • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team in a professional setting. • Strong background in compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. • Experience with Project Management Software such as Asana, Notion, Monday, ClickUp, a plus
