• About Us • Ikerian AG (formerly RetinAI Medical) is a fast-growing medical device software company headquartered in Bern, Switzerland. • Our mission is to enable the right decisions sooner in healthcare, through transformative AI & data management solutions for disease screening and monitoring. • Join our diverse team of entrepreneurs, developers, researchers, and commercial experts who are collectively shaping the future of healthcare. • Job Description • We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow our technical team. • In this role, you will oversee software development projects, mentor engineers, and contribute to strategic hiring to support our scaling efforts. • Key Responsibilities: • Project & Release Management: Oversee the release of new product versions, ensuring timely delivery and high quality. • People & Team Leadership: Conduct 1:1s, provide feedback, and foster professional development as the team expands. • Hiring & Talent Growth: Actively support recruitment to build a strong engineering team. • Technical Leadership: Leverage your strong technical background to guide engineers and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a technical role (software engineering, DevOps, or related). • 3-5 years of experience in management (team leadership, coaching, or engineering management). • Strong project management skills and experience with software deployment. • Experience in software programming (medical device experience is not required). • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or related). • Demonstrated entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset. • Strong stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and leadership skills. • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. • Must reside in Europe and be fluent in English. • Available to work during Central European Time (CET) business hours. • Occasional travel to our HQ in Switzerland for team and company events.
