• Full-time, Remote, Exempt • Rewiring America is the leading electrification nonprofit, focused on electrifying our homes, businesses, and communities. • The Paralegal will provide support to the General Counsel and assist with a broad range of legal matters. • This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. • The Paralegal is responsible for overseeing and managing Rewiring America’s compliance requirements across various domains. • The Paralegal will also support contract review and negotiation for routine supplier and vendor contracts. • Assist with legal research, including case law and regulatory compliance. • Prepare and draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence. • Organize and maintain legal files, documents, and databases. • Coordinate with external counsel as needed. • Support in-house legal matters, including contract management, intellectual property, and corporate governance. • Provide guidance on compliance matters and collaborate with other departments to resolve compliance-related issues.

Requirements

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. • Can-do attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves, and a commitment to the details of the business and legal and regulatory work of the company. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in legal research and writing. • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Strong ethics and integrity. • Bachelor’s degree, or completion of a two-year program in legal studies/paralegal certificate or equivalent experience. • Prior paralegal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or nonprofit setting.
