📋 Description
• Ensure databases that support technology systems are designed and performing as needed • Work with developers and business analysts to create and modify database structure • Proactively monitor and optimize the performance of database servers • Perform database maintenance tasks • Work with data engineers to help map data in production databases • Maintain system security and data integrity • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and high availability plan • Install, upgrade and patch the database servers • Mentor and coach other team members
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience • Designing data models for both DynamoDB and Aurora based on application requirements • Implementing efficient partitioning strategies for large datasets in DynamoDB • Selecting appropriate database configurations for Aurora depending on workload • Monitoring database performance metrics for both DynamoDB and Aurora • Optimizing query performance by analyzing access patterns • Tuning database parameters in Aurora • Implementing robust backup and recovery strategies • Managing data replication across availability zones • Performing data migrations between different cloud DB technologies • Enforcing strict security policies on both DynamoDB and Aurora • Implementing data encryption at rest and in transit • Developing automation scripts using AWS tools • Leveraging Terraform to manage database infrastructure • Troubleshooting database issues
