📋 Description

• Roo is looking for a passionate, skilled, and driven Lead Full Stack Engineer to help build out Roo’s web application for animal hospitals, veterinarians, and veterinary technicians. • We’re a fast moving team that’s rapidly building out new features for our fast growing platform. • You will spend around 20% of your time managing and mentoring a small team of engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional growth, and the rest of your time will be hands-on in the code, working through tasks with the team and leading by example.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience with JavaScript as a Full Stack Software Engineer working with React and Node.js • Experience working with a growing team and early stage startup • Proficient at writing and optimizing efficient SQL queries • Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, CSS, React, Cloud Computing Platforms, and relational databases • Hands-on experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines • Excellent verbal and written communication, empathy and collaboration skills • Attention to detail and self-driven, with a passion to solve problems and research solutions • Agile and flexible since we are evolving continually • Trustworthy with impeccable integrity, authenticity, and high ethical standards • Preference to be hands on coding, but happy with some people management duties • AI forward, innovative, and open minded to embracing new technologies to increase velocity • Degree in Computer Science or relevant field • Experience with Cypress, React Native, and AWS • B2B, Marketplace, and/or SaaS experience
