Description

• Take full technical responsibility for communicating with internal customer to achieve the best possible safety risk analysis (SRA) with the data available • Provide input to optimize product safety mitigation implementation, including specialized burndown plans to account for nonstandard scenarios • Provide ad hoc statistical support in line with issues that could lead to product safety issues • Participate and present at Collins Risk Analysis and Statistical Methods community of practice (CoP) • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior risk analysts • Support the Product Safety Managers (PSM) as needed with participation and support at the Product Safety Integrity Team (PSIT) and Product Safety Board (PSB) • Support development of strategic roadmap for SMS safety risk management pillar • Coordinate with Reliability and System Safety Analysis to assure product safety imperfections and improvements are properly recorded and accounted for in read-across • Support risk management activities, including safety policy, risk management, assurance, and promotion • Continue to develop and participate in efficient process improvements using CORE Principles • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%

Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required • 5+ years prior experience in statistical analysis • 5+ years experience using Weibull analysis, reliability tools, and Excel to code in a programming language (R, Python, etc.)
