β€’ The Underwriting Technical Assistant is responsible for efficiently processing policy-related transactions β€’ Ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements β€’ Reviews and verifies policy applications, endorsements, and cancellations β€’ Inputting data accurately into computer systems β€’ Issuing policy documents to clients β€’ Handling inquiries from policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders β€’ Providing timely and accurate information on policy-related matters β€’ Assisting with underwriting tasks, such as assessing risk factors and calculating premiums

Requirements

β€’ BA/BS degree preferred β€’ 1 - 3 years of experience in an office environment, insurance experience and experience with core business systems and applications preferred β€’ Intermediate to advanced MS Office Excel and Word skills required β€’ SQL knowledge a plus β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills β€’ Attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity β€’ Strong organizational and time management skills β€’ Ability to maintain standards of quality and quantity of output as established by management β€’ Desire and drive to foster teamwork in a collaborative environment β€’ Ability to work well within a team and to continually learn in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
