Description
•SageSure is a managing general underwriter serving disaster-prone areas. •Lead the underwriting team of the Expanded Markets program. •Manage escalated calls, chats and emails from agents, Policy Services, or team members. •Develop understanding of Expanded Markets carrier underwriting guidelines and execute decisions. •Train and lead underwriting team on best practices and processes. •Oversee renewal underwriting process and support claims reviews. •Build and maintain relationships with carrier underwriters. •Develop and submit underwriting referrals for review/approval. •Review team workflows for efficiency and accountability. •Train and lead team on Expanded Markets processes and workflows. •Aid in handling carrier audits and perform internal audits of processes. •Support integration of new carriers and products.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience •Minimum 7 years of personal lines underwriting experience required •Must have the ability to use company automation including, but not limited to, Windows, Word, Excel & company systems •Ability to work in a team environment essential •Good written and verbal skills •Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing •Proven organization skills and ability with strong attention to detail •Interest in continued education and professional development •Insurance Property and Casualty license required •Experience specifically in the Personal Lines Excess & Surplus insurance space preferred •Professional Insurance Designations such as CIC, CPCU, etc. preferred •Prior Sales and Marketing experience and a willingness to engage in sales centered conversations and events preferred
