•Salvo Software is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions for the automotive and IoT industries. •We are dedicated to creating cutting-edge products that drive the future of connected transportation. •Join us to build a fulfilling career with growth opportunities and a vibrant, inclusive culture. •We are looking for an innovative and detail-oriented Vehicle Integration Engineer to join our Embedded Software team. •You have a strong understanding of vehicle systems, networking protocols, and diagnostics, with a particular focus on J1939. •Be proactive, a problem solver, and excel in cross-functional collaboration. •If you love technology and are keen to contribute to advancing connected transportation, we would love to hear from you! •Lead the integration of components and systems (electrical and software) into the overall vehicle architecture, ensuring compatibility and functionality. •Define, implement, and maintain communication protocols and message formats, including J1939 and CAN. •Work closely with the software team to implement diagnostics and fault-handling strategies for components. •Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system-related issues. •Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, hardware, software) to define and document system requirements and specifications. •Develop and execute testing and validation plans to verify system performance under various conditions and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. •Commission electronic systems of vehicles together with internal and external partners. •Provide support to production teams to resolve manufacturing and integration issues. •Maintain detailed documentation on system integration processes, testing results, and modifications for future reference. •Identify opportunities to improve vehicle integration processes and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency, safety, and performance.

🎯 Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Systems Design, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. •At least 3 years of experience in vehicle integration, system engineering, or a related role within the automotive industry. •Strong Understanding of ISO standards. •Expertise in CAN bus communication protocols, including J1939. Bonus points for experience in J1708, J1850, and K-line. •Experience with vehicle diagnostics and data analysis tools. •SQL knowledge is an asset. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
