📋 Description

• Samsara’s Legal team strives to create value and ensure that Samsara meets its mission by providing accessible and business-oriented legal guidance. • Manage and drive projects across all areas that the Product Legal team supports, including but not limited to intellectual property, regulatory compliance, privacy, and general product counseling. • Work closely with the Product Legal team and other legal functions and business teams to develop, implement, and maintain appropriate policies and procedures for the company. • Partner with the Product Legal team to oversee outside counsel and manage budgets. • Investigate the technical details of a complex project or product, identify and assess risks. • Propose realistic solutions that take into account competing business interests. • Create and implement processes to ensure alignment with the Company’s values and compliance with evolving laws and regulations. • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team).

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years experience at a law firm or in-house as a paralegal or administrative specialist in the area of intellectual property law, especially patents. • Exceptional communication and organizational skills and strong attention to detail. • Experience independently driving complex projects from start to finish in a broad range of subject matters. • An ideal candidate also has: Experience with an intellectual property program at a SaaS technology company. • Experience with Google Suite, IPFolio, Atlassian products, and Microsoft Office. • Paralegal certification or equivalent experience.
