📋 Description

• Samsara (NYSE: IOT) pioneers the Connected Operations™ Cloud to improve physical operations • The Embedded Perception Team builds intelligent video and AI-driven safety solutions • This role is for a hands-on, technical leader to influence edge AI and multimedia strategy • Drive technology choices and implement embedded solutions • Identify opportunities to influence technology direction • Ensure accuracy of AI algorithms on edge devices • Partner with Hardware team for next generation devices • Lead teams delivering impactful products and capabilities • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in the design, development, and deployment of embedded software, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or architecture role • Proven expertise in multimedia frameworks (e.g., GStreamer, QMMF), video codecs (H.264, H.265), and camera systems (e.g., ISP tuning, VQI improvements) • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Go, Python, or similar • Demonstrated ability to spearhead and deliver complex, high-impact projects with multiple dependencies • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders
