• Company Profile • At Sand Cherry Associates, we excel in the design and delivery of strategic customer-centric initiatives through digitally-native, data-empowered solutions. • Our client’s confidence in us is centered on exceptionally skilled, high-energy talent working with the support of the full Sand Cherry team. • We are seeking a Tax Compliance Analyst to join our team. • This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting. • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance and will assist in the preparation and filing of various state documentation and reporting regulations, as well as provide analytical support to the accounting team. • This is a part time position. Candidates who reside in the Denver metro area will be given priority consideration but this can be a remote role. • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax reporting in a timely manner. • Research and analyze tax issues to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations across numerous states. • Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and support regular audits. • Prepare financial reporting and tracking for compliance. • Maintain accurate tax documentation and records in accordance with established policies. • Communicate with federal and state tax authorities as needed, addressing any inquiries or issues that arise. • Analyze financial transactions to identify any potential tax implications. • Provide support in tax planning initiatives and development. • Stay updated on changes to tax laws and advise management accordingly. • Act as company expert on reporting, regulations and compliance matters. • Create and manage financial data with tools like Excel, Paylocity, Salesforce, and Fieldglass.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 4 years experience in tax compliance or related financial roles in state reporting and compliance. • Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. • Prior experience with auditing and financial data reporting. • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal is important. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines is a must. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools is required. • Strong organizational and time management skills are preferred. • Experience with Microsoft Office suite is necessary. • The ability to author, deliver and provide training of material to all levels of constituents. • CPA certification or working towards it is a plus. • Experience in corporate environments is preferred. • Familiarity with tax compliance and state reporting regulations is preferred.
