📋 Description

• Lead the development of the vehicle simulation tools and methods used throughout the company • Lead the development of the underlying numerical and optimization methods • Research, develop, and implement state-of-the-art simulation methodologies to aid in the optimization of vehicle performance and vehicle development • Lead the development of automated model correlation and testing routines • Responsible for optimizing the computation efficiency and robustness of all simulation tools • Contribute to the development of the vehicle physics model • Prepare documentation and presentations for software users and technical management • Coordinate and communicate development priorities with other departments • Define group skills targets/matrix and implement development plans • Define and implement processes to ensure quality of released software

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree of PhD in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field • Extensive experience developing simulation models and tools, ideally within Formula 1 or another high-level motorsport environment • Previous management experience would be beneficial • Strong coding in C/C++ and good knowledge of C#, Phyton, Matlab, Simulink, and/or Modelica would be advantageous • Expertise developing simulation software and solving computational engineering problems • Expert knowledge of numerical methods and optimization methodology • Expert in developing lap time simulation tools and methodologies • Expert in Driver-in-the-Loop simulator model development • Strong background in many of the following areas: Optimization Methods Mathematical modelling and simulation Computational efficiency • Good understanding of physical mechanics, engineering dynamics, thermal science, and fluid dynamics would be beneficial • Highly self-motivated, dedicated, creative, result-oriented, and able to work independently with a very high attention to detail • Capable of weighing and balancing competing priorities and short- vs long-term objectives while maintaining quality • Dedicated, persevering, open-minded, innovative, and a team-player
