📋 Description

• SecondShop is seeking a Lead Data Architect to lead our data team. • In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced data architecture solutions, ensuring our infrastructure supports business growth. • Collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams, you'll guide a team of data engineers to build scalable, high-performance systems that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. • Design and develop scalable and efficient data architectures, ensuring data availability, consistency, and reliability across multiple platforms. • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to build, maintain, and improve data pipelines, ETL processes, and storage solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to define data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. • Oversee the integration of various data sources, both internal and external, ensuring seamless data flow and access. • Establish and enforce data governance, security, and privacy best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Develop and manage data modelling frameworks, standards, and processes to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and best practices, driving innovation within the data architecture space. • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in the design and implementation of data systems and infrastructure. • Troubleshoot and optimize data performance, ensuring the system meets the performance and scalability requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. • Strong expertise in designing and building large-scale data pipelines and data warehouses using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Proficiency with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques. • In-depth knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data storage solutions, and data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). • Familiarity with modern data governance, security, and privacy frameworks and practices. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, driving technical decisions, and mentoring junior team members.
