Description
• Responsible for the surveillance of premises and protection of staff and visitors. • Detect suspicious behaviour and prevent vandalism, theft or other criminal behaviours. • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order. • Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people. • Remove wrongdoers or trespassers. • Secure exits, doors and windows after operations. • Check surveillance cameras for disruptions. • Investigate for suspicious activity. • Respond to alarms and assess situations. • Provide assistance to people in need. • Apprehend and detain perpetrators before authorities arrive. • Submit reports of daily surveillance activities.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a security officer or guard • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety • Familiarity with report writing • Excellent surveillance and observation skills • Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems • Registered as a security officer • High School diploma is required
