Description
• Ensure that Sefaria’s products meet quality requirements before launch. • Focus on improving usability, developing and overseeing test plans. • Lead the QA efforts, including writing test plans, creating manual and automated tests. • Track quality issues and maintain documentation. • Suggest areas of improvement and ensure redundancy in testing before product releases. • Manage the testing pipeline and maintain product health as QA checkpoint before production. • Approach responsibilities with a learning mindset, organized and detail-oriented. • Demonstrate success in working independently in a remote setting.
Requirements
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in computer science or software development; can include internships and work study positions. • Relevant work experience in QA and testing frameworks. • Experience using or familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar testing frameworks. • Familiarity with software testing in relation to specific stages of product development. • Experience in writing test spec documents for new and existing products. • Ability to build and perform manual and automated testing processes. • Ability to conduct test analysis and verify quality requirements. • An understanding of Sefaria’s current stack – Python, MongoDB, React, Django, Javascript, preferred. • Knowledge of QA best practices and industry standards, preferred. • Proficiency in working with the technology in an online work environment including GSuite, Slack, Zoom, and Trello (training will be provided, as needed).
