📋 Description

• Provide strategic vision and technical leadership for both the Data Platform (real-time data lake). • Collaborate with senior engineering, product, and business leaders to align platform development with business objectives. • Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering, and software development. • Lead the development and evolution of our next-generation, real-time data lake. • Architect and implement scalable data pipelines, optimizing for latency, cost, and throughput. • Define and enforce data management practices, including data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing principles. • Implement data streaming solutions that enable real-time analysis of data. • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse, multi-location team of data engineers and architects. • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. • Drive project execution throughout the software development lifecycle.

🎯 Requirements

• ~15 years of software engineering experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. • Proven experience building and scaling high-performance data platforms. • Deep expertise in data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Azure Event/IoT Hub, Kinesis). • Extensive experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Flink, Spark, Pinot, Clickhouse). • Strong understanding of cloud-based data storage and databases (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Synapse). • Experience with infrastructure automation (Docker, Kubernetes). • Proficiency in data workflow management (e.g., Airflow, dbt). • Strong understanding of distributed systems and RESTful APIs. • Excellent communication and technical writing skills. • Experience with Microsoft technology stack and related development tools. • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly. • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
