We are looking for a Communications Advisor to join our team! Reporting to the Leader, Reputation and Member Engagement, your primary goal is to support Servus' social media platforms by creating strategic and engaging social media content that enhances Servus' external presence and reputation. This position is also responsible for coordinating content production, posting content across platforms, and for community management. The incumbent will work closely with the Senior Social Media Advisor to ensure our social platforms tell the Servus story, reflect our brand and grow our following. More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Assist with social media crisis management and emergency response. • Contribute to an Agile Marketing Squad by providing strategic and tactical communications support and advice. • Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans, and design and deliver effective communication tactics that engage members and enhance Servus' external presence and reputation. • Develop and implement social media content that aligns with strategic communications plans. • Coordinate content posting and community management responses across Servus social media platforms. • Work in cooperation with an external social media vendor that supplies social media support services. • Liaise with internal subject matter experts and external influencers to create social media content. • Gather social media analytics to help measure the success of content and campaigns.

Requirements

Skills & Experience: • strong background as a communications generalist with experience in both strategic and tactical communications. • adept at creating content that aligns with organizational objectives and goals • capable of writing clear and engaging content, being skilled in coordinating the creation of video and graphic content, and have strong publishing skills. • knowledge of current social media trends, technologies and platforms, and be able to use this understanding to create a compelling story that is told across Servus's social media channels. • ability to gather and interpret social media analytics to measure the success of content and campaigns, and how to use this data to inform future content is also important. • experience targeting social media to specific audiences Education: • Degree or diploma in communications, public relations or a related field. • IABC certification or accreditation and/or CPRS accreditation is considered an asset. • 5+ years generalist communications experience, including experience with social media.
