Description

• Build and maintain Ruby on Rails APIs • Develop single-page applications using modern JavaScript frameworks • Ensure scalable API integrations to enhance platform functionality • Collaborate with the Product and UX teams to scope and define new features • Translate business requirements into technical specifications • Contribute to the long-term engineering roadmap • Provide technical insights and recommendations for future platform improvements • Manage and prioritize multiple projects across different business units • Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial Ruby/Rails experience • Full stack development experience is preferred • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT discipline • Proven experience in building and scaling APIs • Practical experience with PostgreSQL • Proficient with Git version control • Experience in performance optimizations, such as caching and asset CDNs • Strong Agile methodology skills, including iterating through user stories and applying Test Driven Development (TDD) techniques • Solid monitoring focus, using tools like NewRelic • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, including ReactJS, BackboneJS, and NodeJS • Experience working with Elasticsearch • Working knowledge of software testing methods and quality assurance practices • Contributions to the open-source community • An interest in the startup and technology community • Knowledge of merchant gateways • Experience with automated testing frameworks • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
