📋 Description

• Our hiring partner is seeking a talented mid to senior level Product Designer to join their dynamic team. • The ideal candidate will be well versed in creating visually appealing yet intuitive highly effective user experiences for both web and mobile platforms. • You will work closely with crossfunctional partners to interpret requirements and transform them into engaging experiences that both delight and satisfy merchant and customer needs. • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners to gather and evaluate user requirements. • Determine and follow the most appropriate process based on the problem at hand. • Communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and team members. • Conduct situation appropriate, levels of research and usability testing to influence or improve the product. • Stay updated on the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies.

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of experience in system design, visual design, interaction design, product design, or related field • High proficiency of design tools (especially Figma) and design systems with a solid understanding of design tokens, theming, and UI components through the lens of visual design (motion design is a bonus) • Strong understanding of native mobile design patterns and responsive web • Design systems experience that shows ownership of or significant contribution to an existing design system. • Highly collaborative attitude able to receive, synthesize and communicate the outcomes of multiple points of view. • Proficient in simplifying complex ideas, identifying risks, dependencies, and understanding technological constraints. • Confident planning and executing various types of research methods with minimal oversight. • Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate with team members. • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a passion for commerce. • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and/or React for better collaboration with the development team (nice to have) • Understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines (nice to have) • Experience in commerce or the Shopify ecosystem (nice to have)
