Requirements
• Previous experience working in a higher education institution. • Previous experience with Ellucian Banner ERP • Must have a minimum of 5 years Linux Systems Administration experience. • 5+ years experience working with various Linux distributions (Red Hat/CentOS preferred). • Significant experience designing, building, configuring, and troubleshooting Oracle Linux, RedHat Linux servers. • Significant experience building, configuring, and maintaining physical & Virtualized servers. • 5+ years experience with server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V, Xen, etc.). • Experience performing in-place Linux upgrades using LEAPP will be a plus point. • Manage Linux and related open source systems (apache, bind, postfix, memcached, mysql, etc.). • Familiarity and operational knowledge of open source systems in a mixed Windows/Linux environment. • Knowledge of data storage technologies such as NAS or SAN. • Configure a secure system and monitor system security. • Management of system backups. • Basic knowledge of network administration and troubleshooting. • Proactive self-starter with the ability to drive projects through to completion. • Ability to manage multiple complex and time-sensitive projects simultaneously. • Experience working together with teams from several business areas to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan. • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Technology.
