• About Skyven • At Skyven Technologies, we have developed a revolutionary heat pump technology to decarbonize industrial heat and move the needle on climate change. • Our technologies have the potential to completely eliminate on-site CO2 emissions from industrial steam. • We implement this technology through an innovative Energy-as-a-Service model that provides clean process heat to industrial facilities. • We identify, fund, design, build, and install our cutting-edge, decarbonization technologies to help industrial manufacturers reach their sustainability goals, while minimizing their risk and reducing their operational expenses. • Industrial heat is responsible for roughly 20% of global CO2 emissions. • That’s roughly equivalent to emissions generated by all transportation and is a compelling business opportunity. • Skyven is at the forefront of this transformation and has recently been selected for a $145M investment from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to accelerate. • We are looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the finalization of Skyven’s heat product design into a completely detailed product ready for procurement and construction. • Therefore, we need a mechanical engineering leader who understands the analysis requirements of a traditional EPC stick-built design and the productization methods done by product OEMs.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or a closely related field • Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure and willingness to sign and seal mechanical engineering drawings • 10+ years of post-graduate work experience in the detailed design engineering of one of the following; industrial scale systems, large commercial systems, manufacturing plants, process plants, or modular industrial systems • Experience in high-temperature process water, steam, and lubrication oil • Experience creating piping systems and support designs, pipe stress analysis, and fluid flow analysis using hand calculations • Expert knowledge and application ability of engineering standards applicable to the product design which would include ASME, ANSI, API NACE, etc. • Able to productize the engineering of industrial systems • Able to create scalable tools and methods for yourself and others for detailed engineering deliverable creation
