Developing front end website architecture. Designing user interactions on web pages. Developing back-end website applications. Creating servers and databases for functionality. Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones. Ensuring responsiveness of applications. Working alongside graphic designers for web design features. Seeing through a project from conception to finished product. Designing and developing APIs. Meeting both technical and consumer needs. Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science. • Strong organizational and project management skills. • Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML,CSS, and JavaScript. • Familiarity with JavaScript libraries/frameworks such as Angular JS, React, and Amber. • Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, and .Net. • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB. • Excellent verbal communication skills. • Good problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail. • Experience with modern Javascript (ES6 and beyond) and Javascript app architectures. • Experience with Node.js. • Understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds using promises. • Experience designing and implementing backend services and APIs. • Experience with managing deploys and infrastructure monitoring. • Experience with NoSQL datastores. • Strong insight into user experience and interface design, awareness of standard iOS and Android component design patterns. • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. • Understanding of Server Side CSS preprocessors. • Down to earth, easy to work with. • Comfortable with being a generalist engineer and wearing many hats. • Comfortable and willing to learn as you go. • Excited to work with a small team and have lots of input in product direction. • Experience building products with Swift, Objective C, and native iOS app development are a plus. • Experience with native Android app development is a plus.
