Description
• Assist leading logistics modal category responsibilities (LTL, TL, parcel, global ocean, global air, warehousing, etc.). • These activities will include, but not be limited to, the identification, qualification, and negotiation with suppliers and their contracts. • Assist developing and executing the strategic procurement vision while driving innovation and continuous improvement with the Logistics supply base. • Supporting, and actively participating in, the global Procurement and Logistics Operations team. • Oversight of financial metrics (including forecasting) for category Headwinds, Tailwinds, Cost Avoidance, and Projects. • Stay abreast of current market intelligence across all modes of transport.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND a minimum of 5 years of related supply chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment. • Experience related to logistics or transportation procurement. • Experience in contract and supplier management in a Procurement environment. • Strong data analysis (including Excel spreadsheets), negotiating, and problem-solving skills. • Self-motivated in ambiguous and autonomous role. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Assertive, organized, and detail oriented.
