Description

• Sophos is a global leader and innovator of advanced security solutions that defeat cyberattacks, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and incident response services and a broad portfolio of endpoint, network, email, and cloud security technologies. • This role demands a strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the GDPR, and the ability to integrate data protection regulatory requirements into business processes. • Key responsibilities include performing privacy impact assessments, conducting legal research, and providing day-to-day advice to the business about privacy and data protection.

Requirements

• A strong operational knowledge of data protection laws, regulations, and standards specifically including in-depth understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation • Proven ability to conduct legal research into a variety of data protection topics, apply data protection law to Sophos business processes, and present the final results in a clear and concise manner • Drive and ability to develop a culture of data protection into business processes to reduce and remove data protection risks • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload • Experience working in a global company across multiple business functions • Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in law; comparable legal experience will be considered • Relevant experience in data protection regulations and applying regulatory requirements to businesses processes • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills • Collaborative spirit, positive attitude, and high level of integrity • Experience working with data management automation tools such as OneTrust, is desirable • CIPP/E certification considered an asset • Fluency in English is mandatory, additional European languages helpful
