Description

•Sophos is a global leader and innovator of advanced security solutions. •We annually search for the brightest undergraduates to join our Software Engineering internship programme. •This will be a fully remote position by default with an option to meet the team in Abingdon. •Every intern at Sophos is treated as a full member within an Engineering team. •We will provide all the necessary support to succeed in contributing to high-quality products. •There may be opportunities for permanent employment with Sophos following graduation for top performers.

Requirements

•Experience of developing code in any language •Ability to learn new skills quickly and apply them to the role •Natural problem solver who enjoys being challenged •Able to work autonomously whilst working collaboratively within the wider team environment •Interpersonal communication style, a natural relationship builder who uses these skills to deliver •Currently completing a BSc in Computing or other numerate discipline, or equivalent experience Desirable: •Development using C++ or Java •Scripting using Python •Experience of working within Agile development methodologies •Knowledge of virtualization platforms •Experience with automated regression testing
