• As a Senior Director of Cloud Platform Engineering and Operations you will apply your extensive knowledge of cloud computing, databases and software architecture to manage software design and development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to current and future design specifications. • Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture. • Define technology and operational strategy and support roadmaps. • Manage the design, development, and operations of the team with a focus on operational excellence and availability. • Recruit and build a diverse, capable, and cohesive engineering team. • Drive continuous improvement and envision the future state of the Cloud Platform. • Translate and communicate impactful business stories that drive action. • Foster strong partnerships with Operations, Support, Product Management, and Engineering across S&P divisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years leading complex technical/ engineering product and cloud service teams with most of this experience in a cloud environment, • 5+ years of recent experience in leadership roles • 10+ years of relevant work experience in cloud computing, cloud services, databases or big data or NoSQL technologies or data science and data analytics • Experience with AWS technologies building Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities that enable teams to build cloud native applications without the need to understand the underlying infrastructure • Demonstrated record of coaching and mentoring Engineering leaders on both technical and management career tracks • Strong business acumen, comfortable with interaction with customer directly when needed • Knows how to manage rapidly scaled teams and demonstrated ability to develop and execute a growth strategy • Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude • Experience working with auditors and regulatory effectively is a plus
