Description

• Senior Backend Engineer role at Sphinx • Building a ground communications and data-transport platform for US government satellites • Leading the development of core platform services • Designing and building technology to support US Government satellites • Working as both an individual contributor and lead for junior engineers

Requirements

• 3-5+ years’ of software engineering experience • Extensive experience with Python, FastAPI, postgres, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform • Experience architecting and building APIs and backend services • In-depth knowledge of at least one commercial cloud platform and its associated services • Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to self-direct work • Able to distinguish between good and bad practices
