📋 Description
• Support a wide variety of bridge engineering assignments, including design of new railroad bridges and other railroad structures. • Design of bridge rehabilitation projects and construction phase engineering. • Perform bridge load ratings and prepare load rating reports. • Perform structural analysis, design calculations and prepare construction plans and details. • Perform construction phase engineering services including shop drawing reviews and responding to contractor requests for information.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering – Structural emphasis. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bridge design; Railroad experience preferred • Proficient in concrete and steel design • Professional Engineering licensure (PE) preferred but not required • Knowledge of FRA regulations, AASHTO LRFD and AREMA design codes required. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and Microstation required. • Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software required. For example, OpenBridge, RAM Elements, RAM Structural Systems, L-pile, Weap, MathCAD and Risa-3D. • Strong communication skills. • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well with others.
