Description

• Stacklet helps organizations with large cloud estates optimize cost, improve security, and ensure compliance by simplifying and automating all aspects of governance via code • Our company was founded by the creators and maintainers of CNCF's Cloud Custodian, an open-source project used today by thousands of well-known global brands • Our Stacklet Platform is an award-winning governance as code solution that enables teams to identify and remediate cloud governance issues while establishing preventative guardrails against their recurrence • Renowned for supporting some of the world's most substantial cloud service consumers, Stacklet Platform helps mitigate cloud waste and risk on a large scale • Overview As a Software Engineer at Stacklet, you’ll be joining a team of engineers working on the Stacklet platform. We’re looking for a knowledgeable software engineer with Python, web, database, and public cloud experience

Requirements

• Python - Advanced; experience with front end development (especially with TypeScript/React) is a bonus but not required • Database - Experience with Postgres or another relational database at scale; you should understand normalization, be able to write non-trivial queries, and understand the performance implications of your query and index choices • GraphQL - Our platform exposes a GraphQL API. Prior experience with GraphQL is a plus • Public cloud - We deploy to AWS using Terraform, and use a variety of AWS services, including RDS, Lambda, and ECS. Parts of our platform also run on GCP and Azure. The more experience you have with public cloud, the better • Terraform - Not strictly required, but a bonus if you have prior experience • Linux - You should be comfortable in a terminal and have knowledge of Linux system administration and debugging • Communication - You are well spoken and can clearly articulate an idea verbally and in writing. You can take a problem/project/feature, break it down, describe it in writing, propose one or more solutions, compare and contrast them, and plan a path to completion. You’re comfortable making architectural recommendations and can effectively bring your teammates on the journey with you. Team - You are a team player with a strong work ethic, eager to both help others and learn from them. You actively participate in discussions, accept constructive feedback, and pay attention to details. You take ownership of your work, and the team can count on you to give your best effort every day

Benefits

• 100% remote - Slack and Google Meet for communication • Company laptop for development • Home office budget • Github and JIRA, lightweight agile process • AWS training and certification opportunities • Talented and experienced team, friendly culture • Travel 2 - 4 times a year for internal and external events • Career growth with opportunities for advancement • Equity compensation, excellent health benefits, generous time-off policy
