Description

• Lead a team of support staff and associate medical underwriters • Manage risk as it relates to group policy applicants • Ensure a balance of minimizing anti-selection risk and delivering a positive customer experience • Contribute to both top and bottom-line growth • Provide customer service to internal and external customers • Develop effective working relationships with internal partners • Participate in cross departmental and corporate projects

Requirements

• Two (2) years of leadership experience in the insurance industry (medical, employee benefits, or related industries only) • Five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience with emphasis in Medical Underwriting, or equivalent leadership, analytical, or employee benefits experience is highly preferred. • Project leadership background, especially as it relates to leading through technical changes alongside IT. • Some travel is required.
