Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend functions, with a primary focus on API development. • Work as part of the Product and Engineering team to deliver high-quality, scalable backend solutions. • Work with the Customer Care team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users. • Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and security. • Contribute to the planning and execution of product features, ensuring alignment with overall product goals. • Communicate progress, challenges, and ideas clearly with the Lead Developer, Product Manager, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 1+ year of hands-on experience working with APIs. • Proficiency in: SQL, Python, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Node.js. • Experience with: API development, cloud-based architectures • Strong experience in working with and managing databases. • Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance. • Comfortable working in a remote environment with distributed teams. • Ability to perform independent research and a strong capacity for self-learning to acquire new skills autonomously. • Experience with additional cloud platforms or DevOps practices (nice-to-have). • Shopify (integrations preferred) or other e-commerce systems (nice-to-have). • Familiarity with telehealth, health tech, or similar industries (nice-to-have). • Strong understanding of security best practices in API development (nice-to-have).
