Description

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms. • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs. • Manage and maintain virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). • Conduct regular visits to local data centers (within 45 miles) for hands-on support, maintenance, and upgrades. • Work closely with the IT Manager and other team members to plan, implement, and support IT projects. • Maintain accurate documentation of the infrastructure, including network diagrams, configurations, and incident reports. • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect company data and IT assets.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. • Strong knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and routing. • Proficiency in managing and maintaining virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). • Experience with Windows and Linux server environments. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. • Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for occasional travel to data centers within 45 miles of Newport. • Flexibility to occasionally work outside of regular business hours for maintenance and emergency support.
