📋 Description

• We are seeking a Database Engineer to manage and optimize our data infrastructure, ensuring integrity, security, and accessibility. • This role supports BI teams, database performance, and data governance while collaborating on efficient architectures for analytics and reporting. • Maintain and oversee data storage, organization, and retrieval processes to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Implement data governance policies to uphold data integrity and security. • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal data management policies. • Ability to work with engineering and BI teams supporting the design and develop efficient database architectures. • Collaborate with BI teams to optimize data models, views, and queries for reporting and analytics. • Assist in preparing datasets for visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ensure efficient data access for analysts. • Support data analysts in extracting and interpreting business data for reporting needs. • Monitor data availability, accuracy, and performance to ensure efficient workflows. • Identify and address data quality issues, inconsistencies, and missing values. • Ensure seamless data access for analysts and stakeholders while optimizing database queries and structures. • Maintain detailed documentation of data sources, processes, and governance policies. • Provide end-user support and training to ensure proper data usage and interpretation. • Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues and support resolution efforts.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data administration, or database management. • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL). • Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices. • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices including Redshift & Snowflake • Experience Nice to Have: • Experience with data build tooling concepts and implementation • Create and manage data models, schemas, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. • Understand the inner workings and complexities of the cannabis industry including ERP, supply chain, and retail / wholesale processes. • Familiarity with AWS cloud-based architecture
