β€’ We are seeking a Database Engineer to manage and optimize our data infrastructure, ensuring integrity, security, and accessibility. β€’ This role supports BI teams, database performance, and data governance while collaborating on efficient architectures for analytics and reporting. β€’ Maintain and oversee data storage, organization, and retrieval processes to ensure accuracy and consistency. β€’ Implement data governance policies to uphold data integrity and security. β€’ Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal data management policies. β€’ Ability to work with engineering and BI teams supporting the design and develop efficient database architectures. β€’ Collaborate with BI teams to optimize data models, views, and queries for reporting and analytics. β€’ Assist in preparing datasets for visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ensure efficient data access for analysts. β€’ Support data analysts in extracting and interpreting business data for reporting needs. β€’ Monitor data availability, accuracy, and performance to ensure efficient workflows. β€’ Identify and address data quality issues, inconsistencies, and missing values. β€’ Ensure seamless data access for analysts and stakeholders while optimizing database queries and structures. β€’ Maintain detailed documentation of data sources, processes, and governance policies. β€’ Provide end-user support and training to ensure proper data usage and interpretation. β€’ Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues and support resolution efforts.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data administration, or database management. β€’ Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL). β€’ Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices. β€’ Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). β€’ Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices including Redshift & Snowflake β€’ Experience Nice to Have: β€’ Experience with data build tooling concepts and implementation β€’ Create and manage data models, schemas, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. β€’ Understand the inner workings and complexities of the cannabis industry including ERP, supply chain, and retail / wholesale processes. β€’ Familiarity with AWS cloud-based architecture
