• Promotes student success by implementing comprehensive programs • Guides students in academic success, personal, and social development • Conducts counseling and advisement services • Develops individual graduation plans • Provides short-term counseling and referrals as necessary • Supports standardized testing and parent education • Advocates for students at individual education plan meetings • Focuses on goal setting and academic planning for college and career readiness • Analyzes student data for intervention action plans • Collaborates with teaching staff to audit student schedules

Requirements

• Active School Counselor Certificate • 3 years of experience in counseling and/or advisement • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Flexible schedule • Ability to travel as needed • Ability to clear required background check • Master’s degree in school counseling (desired) • Experience with distance learning (desired) • Advanced coursework in counseling and administration (desired) • Experience as a teacher (desired) • Experience in a customer service environment (desired) • Experience with Local, State, and Federals laws and mandated reporting (desired) • Experience in a charter school environment preferred (desired) • Experience with state career planning systems, Pathfinder, or other career planning platforms/tools (desired)
