Requirements

• 3 to 7 years managing embedded firmware development including experience managing direct-reports, generating work estimates and software development plans, running software development projects, supporting production lines & contract manufacturers, and providing RMA support. • 10+ years of experience in the design and development of real-time, mission critical embedded controller software. • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver embedded solutions involving several application areas. • Line responsibility for team members in diverse geographical locations is a plus. • Demonstrable knowledge of the design, coding, testing, verification, validation, and support of embedded microprocessor code to perform distributed control applications/functions. Additional experience in such applications over radio networks is a plus. • Detailed, demonstrated knowledge and experience developing real-time applications in both open-source (Linux) and proprietary operating system-based environments. Experience with Android and Zephyr operating systems is a plus. • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time with some periods lasting more than a week. • Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: electric grid automation and control for utility applications; peer-to-peer communications techniques with various modalities and protocols; application of distributed intelligence in embedded control software; embedded web servers.
