Description

• Perform and coordinate accounting duties • Manage and complete personal workflow tasks • Meet financial, non-financial, and professional development KPIs • Prepare clear and detailed work papers and timesheet entries • Monitor work in progress (WIP), identify jobs over budget, and communicate issues • Follow processes strictly while maintaining high standards • Take detailed meeting notes and identify follow-up tasks • Develop and execute plans to complete meeting action items • Prepare Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, BAS & IAS for Australian SME clients (Individuals, Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Sole Traders) • Handle Div7a, capital gains, and fringe benefits tax workpapers and accounts • Create tax planning and investment strategy reports • Assess complex tax matters for senior team review • Scope work appropriately and plan for job completion • Identify and implement improvements in file or data collection for future work

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Tax Accountant in an Australian accounting firm • Proven experience with Div7a, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with effective time management and prioritization • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining and improving processes • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Familiarity with accounting software like Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks
