Description

• Oracle System Administrator • At Talentus, we are looking for you! • We are currently looking for an Oracle System Administrator to join one of our US clients. • The Oracle System Administrator will be responsible for the daily management, maintenance, and support of Oracle systems. • The ideal candidate should have experience in data center operations, troubleshooting, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. • Responsibilities include hardware and system maintenance, system administration, monitoring and documentation, collaboration and communication, and cabling and infrastructure. • Manage and maintain Oracle systems ensuring optimal performance and system integrity. • Communicate clearly and escalate issues to senior staff and management when necessary. • Contribute to small-scale data center projects independently.

Requirements

• Knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware. • Experience in troubleshooting servers, networking devices, and data center equipment. • Familiarity with IT hardware concepts such as RAID, SAN, X86 Architecture, Linux/Unix boot processes, and file systems. • Knowledge of network device configurations and directory structures. • Proficiency in Linux administration and ability to run Linux commands. • Minimum 5+ years working in an IT environment, with 5+ years of data center experience. • Inventory management experience, including ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts. • 2- or 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Experience with Sun servers is a plus. • Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar are required. • Additional certification from Oracle is desired.
