Description
• Responsible for the daily management, maintenance, and support of Oracle systems. • Install, troubleshoot, and repair data center hardware. • Manage and maintain Oracle systems, ensuring optimal performance. • Monitor data center environments and respond to issues. • Work closely with provisioning teams and Oracle service owners.
Requirements
• Knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware. • Experience in troubleshooting servers, networking devices, and data center equipment. • Familiarity with IT hardware concepts such as RAID, SAN, X86 Architecture, Linux/Unix boot processes, and file systems. • Knowledge of network device configurations and directory structures. • Proficiency in Linux administration and ability to run Linux commands. • Minimum 5+ years working in an IT environment, with 5+ years of data center experience. • Inventory management experience, including ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts. • 2- or 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Experience with Sun servers is a plus. • Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar are required. • Additional certification from Oracle is desired.
