📋 Description

• We’re looking to hire a Software Engineer to join our team. • In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented engineers and contribute to building products that enable Talkiatry to expand its services and offerings. • We value outcome- and product-focused engineers who are eager to help shape a strong engineering culture through cross-functional collaboration. • Ideal candidates have experience leading projects from scratch—starting with requirements and wish lists and turning them into well-defined development plans with architecture and key tooling in mind. • About Talkiatry: Talkiatry transforms psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care. • We’re a national mental health practice co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to solve the problems both groups face in accessing and providing the highest quality treatment. • 60% of adults in the U.S. with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated every year because care is inaccessible, while 45% of clinicians are out of network with insurers because reimbursement rates are low, and paperwork is unduly burdensome. • With innovative technology and a human-centered philosophy, we provide patients with the care they need—and allow psychiatrists to focus on why they got into medicine.

🎯 Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong foundation in full-stack development • Proficiency in TypeScript and React, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality, maintainable front-end and back-end solutions • Understanding of agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) • Experience writing code optimized for maintainability and scalability, using design patterns as appropriate • Familiarity with common frameworks and tooling, including testing frameworks such as Jest or similar • Bonus: Experience with NextJs or NestJs for building server-side applications
