📋 Description

• Develop and lead a comprehensive FinOps strategy to manage and optimize cloud costs across AWS as well as other COTS and SaaS providers in use at TCGPlayer. • Build and maintain a robust financial governance framework, ensuring clear policies for cloud spend and resource utilization. • Create and implement cost optimization initiatives, including rightsizing, reserved instance planning, as well as other waste elimination. • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide actionable recommendations for resource usage efficiency. • Partner with the finance team to deliver accurate cloud cost forecasting and budgeting. • Establish real-time reporting and dashboards to improve visibility into cloud expenditures. • Lead training and awareness initiatives to embed a culture of financial accountability across the organization. • Assist team with system tagging and tagging compliance. • Monitor industry trends and evolving best practices to ensure the organization remains ahead of the curve in cloud cost management.

🎯 Requirements

• 6 or more years experience in a FinOps or similar role, with a focus on cloud cost management (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud experience required; experience with other SaaS providers preferred) • Demonstrated expertise in managing and optimizing cloud billing models, with a consistent track record of achieving cost savings through effective cost allocation and optimization strategies • Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. • The ideal candidate will be proficient in financial modeling, cost optimization strategies, and data visualization techniques to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience working with tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, CloudHealth, or similar FinOps platforms • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical partners • Familiarity with finance principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
