•TEGNA Inc. is an innovative media company that serves the greater good of our communities. •Join TEGNA’s Development Team where we create cutting-edge websites, mobile apps, OTT apps, and custom editorial tools. •We are seeking a Team Lead for our Backend Development Team, ideal candidates will have a proven track record of leading development teams, designing scalable backend architectures, and delivering high-quality software solutions. •Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. •Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. •Participate in the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

•Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. •Proficient with .NET Core, C#, MVC framework, JSON, and working with APIs. •Strong skills in JavaScript. •Experience building and/or interfacing with RESTful APIs. •Experience with programming and troubleshooting. •Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. •Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks as needed. •Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications. •Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude. •Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases is a plus. •Experience developing for and on cloud-based systems is a plus, but not required. •Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Angular is a plus. •Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
