β’ The Athletic is a digital sports media company that brings true sports fans closer to the athletes, teams and leagues that captivate their attention. β’ Founded in 2016, it serves a multi-faceted audience craving a richer connection and understanding through immersive storytelling. β’ The Athletic is accepting applications for its Engineering Internship Program! β’ Internships will take place over 12-weeks in a remote setting, running from June 2, 2025 - August 22, 2025. β’ Interns will work closely with full-time Engineers on projects designed by the team. β’ Pay is $30.00 per hour for this 100% remote role for candidates in the US or Canada.
⒠This role is open to current undergraduates (ideally in their junior or senior year), recent graduates, and recent boot camp graduates. ⒠Must be based in either the United States or Canada and be have the ability to work 30-40 hours per week. ⒠Experience in Javascript is highly preferred. ⒠Additionally, experience in the one or more of the following technologies would be useful, but not required: ⒠ReactJS ⒠Apollo GraphQL ⒠AWS (Dynamo, S3, among others) ⒠Git/GitHub ⒠PHP ⒠Knowledge and interest in sports is a plus, but not required. ⒠And most importantly⦠bring your enthusiasm and desire to learn!
