Description

• Delivers delegated tasks in Utilization Management. • Handles complex medical and utilization reviews. • Collaborates with physicians to determine treatment actions. • Analyzes treatment patterns and trends. • Completes Health Services tasks with access to advice from senior team members. • May require specialized licensure. • Expert advisor on genetic testing for physicians and labs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in genetic counseling. • Board certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling or American Board of Medical Genetics. • Licensure in state of residence (if available). • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Genetic Counselor. • Experience with computer data entry and customer service is beneficial. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to explain complex medical information clearly in verbal and written form. • Comfort with pediatric, adult, and perinatal genetics.
