Description

• Release Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases, ensuring smooth delivery to production environments with minimal disruption and high quality. • CI/CD Implementation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, improving the efficiency of software delivery. • Version Control: Manage version control systems and release branches, ensuring consistency and traceability across software versions. • Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to understand release requirements, resolve issues, and ensure smooth integration of new features and bug fixes. • Deployment Automation: Create and manage deployment scripts and tools to streamline and automate deployment processes across various environments. • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor release activities, track deployment metrics, and troubleshoot issues that arise during the release process. • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for release processes, procedures, and tools, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing across teams. • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance release efficiency and reduce time-to-market for new features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 1-2 years of experience in release engineering or a related role, with a proven track record of managing software releases in complex environments. • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and deployment processes. • Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins. • Familiarity with build tools such as ANT and Maven. • Understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS CI/CD stack. • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform is a plus). • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
